The physical properties of non-metallic materials such as plastics, coating, rubber, and textiles will degrade or even fail when affected by light, water, and temperature in practical use. Such issues include surface fading, loss of gloss, cracking, becoming brittle, hardening, and chalking, which severely degrade product quality and even affect the functions.
Focused on the two major causes of material aging: UV light and condensation. We use Atlas UV2000 and Atlas UVtest to simulate the aging effects caused by environmental conditions such as UV light, rain, heat, humidity, dew, and darkness. Within several days or up to several weeks, the test can simulate the damages over the time equivalently to several months or even several years as outdoors.
